OPTION 1: ***RECORD AND RELAX***
RENTAL & POST-PRODUCTION 24hr RENTAL- 3 DAY TURNOVER FOR POST-PRODUCTION
RC Recording offers a full-service system wherein the customer simply rents the equipment on the day(s) of recording. After recording, return equipment to RC Recording for download, post-production & submission to a major hosting provider. ***INCLUDES 2 HOURS OF POST PRODUCTION WORK****
All rented equipment to be jointly inspected at time of rental to sign off on pre-rental condition.
Deposits to be returned in full assuming all equipment/materials are returned in as rented condition.
Deposit to be used to repair/replace damaged/missing equipment if deemed necessary at time of return based on pre-rental inspection.

*Max EPISODE 20 minute finished product. Can Include up to two 25 second sponsor ads and or commercials by/for the client. Note: also includes one 10 sec ad by RC Recording. RAW recording time should be 25-35mins max to achieve a maximum 20-minute flat rate inclusive finished recording
CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN TO ISOLATE THE RECORDING AREA FROM AMBIENT SOUNDS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. AVOID MICROPHONE PLOSIVES (P’s, B’s & Wind Noise) AND CLIPPING (Distortion) AS THESE ISSUES CANNOT BE FIXED IN POST-PRODUCTION.
Format as follows:
- Up to a 20 second intro
- 19 mins episode (may include 2 x 25 sec (max) ads by or for client interlaced in show)
- 10 second ad by RC Recording
- Up to a 20 second outro/call to action spot
All episodes will be submitted for appropriate distribution by most popular podcast sites as mp3 mono files. An original WAV file will be available for download by the client on their supplied memory device.

EQUIPMENT RENTAL ONLY: 24hr RENTAL
RC Recording offers a do-it-yourself system wherein the customer simply rents the equipment on the day of recording. After recording and download of data by the client for their own post-production and posting, all materials/equipment to be returned within 24 hrs.
All rented equipment to be jointly inspected at time of rental to sign off on condition.
Deposits to be returned in full assuming all equipment/materials returned in as rented condition.
Deposit to be used to repair/replace damaged/missing equipment if deemed necessary at time of return based on initial rental inspection.

OPTION 3: ***LET US DO THE FINISH WORK***
POST-PRODUCTION AND SUBMISSION PACKAGE
- Client will record their episode using their own equipment. Provide RC Recording with a memory stick in 24bit, 96Khz .WAV sample format of the RAW recording for post-production and enhancements. Target meter readings are: -12db average; -10db loudest sounds; -8db absolute maximum peak readings will be accepted.
RECORDINGS MUST BE OF REASONABLE QUALITY USING A PROFESSIONAL STYLE MICROPHONE. CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN TO ISOLATE THE RECORDING AREA FROM AMBIENT SOUNDS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. AVOID MICROPHONE PLOSIVES AND CLIPPING AS THESE ISSUES CANNOT BE FIXED IN POST-PRODUCTION. A 5 second room ambience sample at beginning and end of a session.
- RC Recording will use the client’s provided 24 bit, 96Khz WAV file to provide post-production, enhancements and editing.
- RC Recording will insert any provided backing track music, intro’s, outro’s and Ads OR will produce same as an extra if desired.
- RC Recording will submit the finished product to a popular podcast hosting provider for distribution under the RC Recording group umbrella.
RATES:
FLAT RATE OF $40.00 + Tax FOR 2 HRS AND SUBMISSIONS
EXTRA EDITING TIME PRORATED AT $18.00/HR (pro-rated every 15mins)
INLCUDES:
- 2HRS EDITING TIME. IF ADDITIONAL EDITING IS REQUIRED A RATE OF $18.00 PER HOUR WILL BE CHARGED PRO-RATED TO EVERY 15 MINUTES. TURNOVER OF 3 DAYS FOR POST-PRODUCTION
- READY FOR SUBMISSION TO A POPULAR PODCAST HOSTING PROVIDER FOR DISTRIBUTION.
- INSERTION OF CLIENT PROVIDED ADS, INTRO’S OR OUTRO’S.
EXTRAS:
- Podcast cover art ($30 one-time fee, $10 per revision)

Option 4: ***AUDIO BOOK READERS***
Audio Editing/Post-Production to ACX/Audible Standards $18/Hr
Audio editing, audio enhancements and post-production for publication by the client on an audio site of their choosing. Audio will be produced to popular platform standards and ready for publication. The recording will be put to an owner supplied memory stick for their own submissions.
Narrators and readers should note that care MUST be taken during the actual recording to ensure as little excess noise/errors occur as possible to reduce post-production costs. Audio distortion and ‘plosives’ MUST BE AVOIDED- they cannot be fixed in post-production. RC Recording is available to discuss setups and technical concerns.
Narrators and readers should also note that industry standards for editing to these standards generally translates to 2-3hrs of post-production for each hour of finished material.
It is critical that readers familiarize themselves with mic technique and voice intensity practices!
A 5-day turnaround per chapter or chapter section (for longer pieces), based on current platform criteria, should be expected. Audio WILL pass all criteria. Punch ins or any changes requested from the owner will be charged at $18.00/hr and $25.00/hr for rush/priority items.
Any changes to project due to issue with the actual recording post-production will not be charged if verified.

Option 5: Audio Audition Demos
Recording and/or Audio Editing/Enhancement/Post-Production
RC Recording can also produce audition recordings using a variety of readings combined into a compilation recording for a talent’s promotional Demo as a prospective narrator or commercial copy reader.
