The Small Business Dilemma Part 1

If a picture is worth a thousand words then a podcast must be worth ten thousand and a video must be worth a hundred thousand. Think about that thought within the context of today’s busy world.
It seems that, within a healthy live/work/fight a pandemic life style, people just don’t have time to read much anymore. That means those door to door leaflets and small local paper ads you’ve depended on to notify existing and bring in new clients/customers are not producing like they used to. Life moves on.
If you want your company to be noticed you have to utilize at least one of the many audio and or video platforms to reach your potential clients. With so many platforms available, it may seem hard to choose. A podcast or standard You-tube video attached to your Business Face Book or independent Web page may be the answer. They have the added benefit of being searchable online. Life moves on.
Audio podcasts are still a very effective platform to engage people as they go about their busy schedules. They generally run from 10-22mins to optimize the average commute but that’s changed too. You can, and possibly should shorten the length now that people are not commuting as much. They tend not to spend as much time on any media platform as they used to. They are, however, still able to listen to what interests them-when THEY want to listen- as they go about their daily tasks. They are entertained, informed, educated and exposed to new ideas and products while they exercise, commute, cook, clean or even work in the home office with the paramount concept of not being tethered to a screen. Life moves on but you can still reach potential clients.
Video, for when people do have some down time, is the new mainstream form of entertainment. Whether it be casting from a smart device, viewing on a handheld or watching a reduced screen on their work computer, people are viewing at the time and with the content of their choice. Life moves on but you can still engage potential clients.
